Just the Scruff

Five-O-Clock shadows, peach fuzz, stubble scruff, baby whiskers; this is where all great beard journeys begin! The downside? It is itchy, bristly, and scratchy! Some men don’t realize, that even at this stage, your beard needs a little TLC. Daily washing can take a toll on your hair and skin. For this reason, beard oil should an essential part of every man’s beard care routine. A good beard oil is high vitamin E, providing nourishment to keep your skin hydrated and replenishing your body’s natural oils that have been stripped away. While beard oils do a great job of softening your stubble in this phase, their name is a bit of a misnomer. Time to make a statement! Thick and bold, your beard is ready to be properly styled. Shaping a full beard takes product with styling versatility. Beard Balm has the same deep conditioning properties of butter, but with a firm hold to add structure and volume. With the longer hair you can now use the balm to straighten your beard, creating sharp lines, angles, and prominent jaw lines. Mustache Wax can be used to finish out the look, especially with handlebar mustaches. It is still important to remember beard oil for your skin. The longer hair means it is easier for dead skin and debris to become lodged in your beard, known as beardruff. Beard Oil reduces this skin flaking by locking in hydration.
